He only bothered to unfold the paper and apparently read it at 4:52 when he started playing Bach's First French Suite in D minor. At 5:08 he even repositioned the sheet music paper to be able to read it. Even the late, powerful maestro Keith Emerson preferred to follow the musical score instead of relying purely on memory — a clear demonstration of respect for the musical phrases of the archaic German composer. Remarkable interpretation, great Keith Emerson! Will miss you FOREVER.

Observe que Keith tinha na frente dele o tempo todo um pequeno papel dobrado acima das barras Hammond C-3. Ele só se incomodou em desdobrar o papel e aparentemente lê-lo aos 4'52" quando começou a tocar a Primeira Suíte Francesa em Ré Menor de Bach. Tanto que, aos 5'08", ele até mesmo reposicionou o papel da partitura para poder lê-lo. Mesmo o falecido e poderoso maestro Keith Emerson preferiu seguir a partitura musical em vez de confiar apenas na memória — uma clara demonstração de respeito pelas frases musicais do arcaico compositor alemão.
