É exatamente o tipo de maluquice que a gente adoraria ter feito quando jovem, né? 😄 Pura adrenalina! O lettering no vídeo está em tailandês e significa algo como “E agora? Como sair?”.
É um dia de mar MUITO forte, e os rapazes estão claramente arriscando a vida. Mas, vamos combinar, é a típica atitude de jovens ousados, aventureiros e inconsequentes, só querendo sentir aquele frio na barriga.
Para descobrir onde isso foi filmado, tive a sorte de encontrar outro vídeo do mesmo local:

Baixei o vídeo com yt-dlp e pausei aos 11 segundos, onde aparece um panorama que é superconhecido pra quem mora no Rio de Janeiro e frequenta a Região dos Lagos, mais especificamente Saquarema. Comparei o frame com esta foto de julho de 2023, feita pelo José Antônio Barros:

A filmagem provavelmente foi feita nos primeiros dias de abril, quando uma forte ressaca atingiu a Região Sudeste do Brasil. O vídeo viralizou, especialmente no Oriente! 😮

E aquele grito “Segura!” que ouvimos várias vezes? É um aviso pros rapazes se agarrarem na aresta inferior da rocha, pressionando o peso com os pés contra o chão pra não serem arrastados pela força das ondas. 🌀

SEGURAAA!! (HOLD ON TIGHT!!) 😱🌊

It’s exactly the kind of crazy stunt we’d have loved to pull off when we were younger, right? 😄 Pure adrenaline! The lettering in the video is in Thai and means something like “What now? How do we get out of here?”
It’s a day with super rough seas, and these guys are clearly risking their lives. But let’s be real—it’s the typical behavior of daring, adventurous, and reckless young guys just craving a bit of a thrill.
To figure out where this was filmed, I got lucky and found another video of the same spot:

I downloaded the video using yt-dlp and paused it at 11 seconds, where you can see a panorama that’s super familiar to anyone who lives in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and frequents the Região dos Lagos, specifically Saquarema. I compared that frame to this photo taken by José Antônio Barros in July 2023:

The footage was likely shot in the first days of April, when a massive swell hit Brazil’s Southeast Region. The video went viral, especially in the East! 😮
A video from 2018 already showed this phenomenon, though on a day with less wild seas:

And that shout 'Seguraaa!' (“Hold on!”) we hear over and over? It’s a warning for the guys to grab onto the lower edge of the rock, pressing their weight with their feet against the ground to avoid being swept away by the force of the waves. 🌀
